1934 Woman in the Dark – Melvyn Douglas, Faye Wray- Classic Movie Black and White Mystery Crime
Hello Classic Movie Lovers!
By the author of “The Thin Man”, Dashiell Hammett, “Woman In The Dark” is a very interesting story about a man (Melvyn Douglas, of all people playing a bad guy!) who very slyly gains control over a naive, musically gifted and beautiful young girl (Fay Wray). It is a drama, mixed with mystery, suspense and crafty criminal doings. This Classic is well-worth watching. Please let me and our other viewers in on your thoughts about this lesser known Hammett story, and do ENJOY 😀 Please, if you watched and like this film, let me know by clicking the little “thumbs up”! It helps me in choosing which films next to upload for you! Thanks :))
The major actors are: Fay Wray, Ralph Bellamy and Melvyn Douglas (I LOVE Melvyn Douglas movies–he was such a believable and likeable actor, in my opinion 🙂
A tiny synopsis? A paroled prisoner hits a man attacking a woman. He runs away terrified that he may have killed the woman’s attacker…but did he?
Friends, would you help me make a few cents by letting the commercial run through? Thank you in advance for this–it’s my only income while awaiting another hideous back surgery (spinal birth bone/disc deletions and deformities due to being a 3-pound twin, breach, yanked out with tools by German Doctors who rightly predicted inevitable problems (my Dad was in the Army, stationed there) Unfortunately mean ol’ Mr. Gravity has caught up with me and is trying wreaking havoc 🙁
Enjoy this Classic! and please don’t forget to subscribe so you’ll know each time I upload or add a movie to our 100s of Classics list! Thank you 😀
